im a fan of dark souls and i bought dd the day it came out. since then i havent played it much, everytime i do, i get bored after about an hour. im hoping its just a slow start but it has yet to really get me hooked like DS did for its exploration or say the witcher 2 did for its narrative.

to be fair they have like 3 games lol, mk9 on consoles and a handheld and that batman game on iphone i believe. tech only 3 games and one is decent, the other great. so idk if i would say that yet, havent made enough to bomb yet. that said, i do love boon, hes creative and very humble. his studio pumped out the best fighter ever imo and im very much looking forward to this.
well being the so called "leader" is a matter of opinion. i wont argue that mk has the best fighting engine becuase i know it doesnt. that said, i still enjoy playing mk 2-3 times as much as any of those other fighting games. and what it lacks in its fighting mechanics it makes up for with other features.......x-rays, fatalities, lots of special moves, full blown story mode, challenge tower, unlockables, great characters, etc....

hmmmmm i wont disagree that tekken has amazing fighting mechanics but......so does mk. its just a different style. with all the specials and crazy shit you do, it prob wouldnt work with a tekken like system. plus having them pretty different keeps each series unique and adds variety to the genre.
i love fighting games, sometimes im in a tekken mood, sometimes im in an mk mood, sometimes i want to bust outt he weapons and hit up soul caliber, other times i want to hit up uf...
scarlet turned out pretty sweet imo. i sucked with rain personally but i know people who can use him crazy good, so he was solid.
and kenshi? i can destroy peeps with him. him and ermac as a matter of fact are my team. kenshi feels liek his own character and has amazing moves, no idea how you dont like him

pretty sure all these characters except freddy, who was just a cool surprise were all wanted. perhaps not over some of the others still left out but that boils down to personal preference

they have all been just decent at best, since they came out on the ps1 so many years ago. after seeing this though, imo she finally has a shot at greatness instead of above average. this is a day 1 buy for me.
